| Description of Project | Oregon PCV, Amber Gomes, is organizing a project in Kenya to stock many libraries with books. Her goal is to establish libraries in each of the 53 public schools in the division which serves over 12,000 students.
Books For Africa will donate 22,000 books but funds are needed for shipping in the amount of $13,500. Amber is writing two $5000 grants. We have contributed $1,200 from the distributions of the Beryl Brinkman Memorial Fund.
This project will allow the establishment of libraries allowing students to practice their reading skills. Teachers will then be able to increase literacy skills.
