Friday, February 11th, 2-4 pm, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, 975 High Street, Eugene. WCPCA will sponsor a panel presentation and discussion with the audience entitled
The Peace Corps asks at 50: "Will you still need me when I’m 64?"

Calling all RPCVs!!! Get yourself, and as many host country nationals from your country of service as you can find, to Eugene, Oregon on March 1, 2011.

RPCVs from near and far, and friends from around the world, will descend on Broadway Plaza (Willamette & Broadway) at 12 noon for an enormous party. The country with the largest turnout wins an amazing prize! We'll take a photograph and show the nation that JFK's dream lives on in Oregon.

PEACE CORPS 50 YEARS: LOCAL AND GLOBAL CONNECTIONS. December 31 - December 31, 1969
  

The Knight Library proudly announces the Spring 2011 exhibit in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Peace Corps. Exhibits will cover five decades of Peace Corps service and share the history and mission of volunteers as well as connecting to UO alumni that are currently serving. (Dates are approximate.)

Dale Dow and Vern Delk of the WCPCA will give a presentation on the "Peace Corps at 50" to the National Association of Retired Persons at noon on March 28th at the Campbell Senior Center, 155 High Street, Eugene.


PANEL PRESENTATION TO THE LANE COUNTRY LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS. Thursday, April 21st, 2011, 12:15 PM - 1:00 PM
  

Panel presentation to the Lane Country League of Women Voters on Thursday, April 21st, 12:15 to 1:00 pm, Mallard Banquet Hall, 725 West 1st Street, Eugene. The WCPCA program is open to the public and free of charge. A buffet lunch is available beginning at 11:45 am for $12. Call the League office, 541-343-3917, or send an email to league@lwvlc.org to make lunch reservations.


PEACE CORPS CELEBRATION IN CORVALLIS. Wednesday, May 11th, 2011, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  

Come and celebrate 50 years of Peace Corps at the Old World Deli (341 SW 2nd Street, Corvallis, OR)! All returned Peace Corps volunteers (RPCVs) and their family/friends and those interested in Peace Corps are welcome to attend. There will be a keynote speaker, Peace Corps trivia competition, open mic (share stories, poems, artifacts, pictures, journal entries), photo slideshow, and of course music and dancing to end the festivities.
